WONDERFUL TOY!!!

1. Set Up- Very easy if you are someone who reads directions. I tried to do it myself and ended up with a toy that folded in on itself. Read the directions and you'll save time.
2. Mat- Very plush. Could be slightly larger, but still a great size overall. The pictures on the mat are great- real life photos are mixed with the corresponding cartoon animal.
3. Music Toy- Wonderful songs- I believe there are 7 in all. Two different levels of sound and two options for music- continuous play or motion detected. However, the continuous play goes for maybe 5 minutes and then you have to get up and flip the switch 'off' and then 'on' to make it go through the songs again. Sort of annoying when you are trying to go to the bathroom or take a shower and you have to run out to turn the music on again. The blinking lights in the middle that correspond with the music it's playing, teach rhythm and keep my son's attention- until it turns off, that is.
4. Toys- There are an abundance of toys that go with this mat. Unlike any of the other mats on the market, you can move the toys around (there are about 15 different hooks on the mat that you can move the toys to.) The panda has gotten the most play time so far- it is the longest and therefore the closest to my son's hands when he reaches up. It's very cute and has some rattles inside. The two chips with animals on one side and the world map on the other make an intriguing noise when banged together and are thin enough for an easy hold. The hanging world rattle is great when baby is a bit older. It scares my son as of now because it is slightly louder than any rattle he's played with before. It is super cute and has a good hand-hold for when he becomes interested. The mirror is obviously plastic, but has a great image. The lion peering down makes a good friend in the mirror and my son loves to catch himself in the image and then scream at himself. There is an adorable igloo/penguin teether that hasn't gotten much play time yet, either, but I'm certain it will soon. I put it in the fridge for a bit and he loved sucking on it. The little bird is the least interactive toy on the mat; she just hangs there, but I catch my son staring at it every now and again. The corresponding picture on the mat, however, is my son's favorite picture to look at.
5. PLUS- Song toy from the top can be removed an put into baby's crib at night. Doubles as a great night light and has more than enough soothing lullabies.
6. OVERALL- Great mat! I am so glad that we waited the few extra months for its release date. It was well worth the wait. It keeps his attention for over 20 minutes and he's only 3 months old! I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a mat- the issue with the song toy is not nearly worth not purchasing it. |

| Our two month old baby girl loves this play gym. We bought the item especially for the musical globe, which is removable and can easily be attached to crib, carseat, or other places. Our daughter loves the music and flashing lights. She also loves all of the toys, and smiles and laughs at each one! The mirror is especially cute. The view is kind of distorted, which also makes her laugh. I recommend this product to other parents. The toys are colorful with patterns that appeal to young infants, and the mat is comfortable. All in all it was a great choice! |
"The Magic Mat"

My 3 week old grandson quiets down when we put him on the Baby Einstein Discover the World Play Gym. He quiets down so much... that his parents have dubbed this baby play gym, "The Magic Mat." They love it; he loves it; it's a win win situation. The music grabs his attention & the adults like it, too. The Light-Up Musical Globe is removable and can be fastened to a stroller or crib, etc., use your imagination...it can be taken with you. The globe can also be set for motion detection which helps save batteries.
When he gets tummy time on the mat, the colors keep his interest. He's too young to focus on much right now, but has been checking out the panda, too. When he's on his back, waving his arms around, he's moved some of the hanging toys; it won't be long before he'll deliberately reach for them.
I was surprised how easy this mat is to fold and put away. Because of its design, all that needs to be done is to bring up a side and carry it away. Very quick, easy to be put away, easy to set back up. It doesn't take up much room when it's folded and could be stored right next to end of your couch, behind a chair, etc.
The Light-Up, Musical Globe takes 3 AA batteries..not included.
This has proven to be a great purchase for our grandson! |

| I bought this for my baby boy and he started interacting with it by 2 months! He loved talking to himself in the attached mirror and to kick around his feet that touch the hanging objects. Overall, I am happy with this product, though i feel the price is a bit high for it since they grow out of one thing pretty soon! |

| I bought this gym for my grandson and he loves it. The music that is included is fantastic and he always wants it playing. The really nice thing is that the music not only lights up but it is easily portable. I am really happy with this purchase! |

I bought this play mat for my 2 month old boy for Christmas. My husband had it up in no time and put the little guy in it for a test run. My son started kicking and moving his arms like he was beeing stimulated by what he saw! The toys hang low enough for his little arms to touch and it seems to be great entertainment for him! Oh and he wasn't at the point where he was cooing yet, but now when placed on his back on the mat he actualy coos up a storm!! I love it!
